I don’t usually even read short stories, but the interconnected stories in this book took my breath away. The soldiers of bravo company and their wives are presented in deceptively simple, straight forward stories. Fallon doesn’t lecture about patriotism or the sacrifices military families make every day. She gives us clearly defined moments, one after another, until we are forced to see.
